Economic Crisis? Manchester United Stars Banned From Swapping Shirts In Bid To Save Money

Manchester United players have reportedly been banned from swapping their shirts after games in a bid to help the club save money, UK media report.


Although the club boasts having of the world’s most expensive footballer Paul Pogba in its ranks, as well as some of the highest paid players in the world, these stars have been told that it is “not cost effective” to give away shirts.

According to reports, the players have been given the same shirt ration – two short sleeved ones and two long sleeved ones.

The reports indicate that the players have also been asked not to give away their shirts to fans at the end of their games.

Manchester United signed a £750m 10-year kit deal with Adidas in 2014.

The new-look Old Trafford outfit will resume their league campaign on Saturday after the international break with a game at home against derby rivals Manchester City.

Both clubs have refurbished squads after spending handsomely during the transfer window.

With new managers at the touchline for both clubs, and with a 100% win record so far, the mouth-watering derby will receive much focus from fans across the entire world.
